Super Library Sleuths Solved the Summer Reading Mysteries!
161 children finished the Summer Library Sleuthing fun at Get a Clue @ Your Library in June. That is a 75% completion rate! Way to go!!
Detective Millie and Agent Stephanie gave away 132 prizes to kids who had completed the 20 book reading requirement on July 10th. Some prizes were: a metal detector, base station walkie talkies, spy link communicators, I Spy games, Hidden Pictures books, and much, much more!
We really had a wonderful time with all the kids who attended the programming each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in June!
Next year will be fun too, Kids!! Watch out for our Summer 2008 theme which will be centered around bugs and gardening!!
Dan Dan the Magic Man and His Magical Mysteries!
About 180 folks enjoyed an evening of Magic and Super Sleuthing at the Library’s Annual Summer Reading Kick-off event featuring Dan Dan the Magic Man. Dan and his assistants “wow-ed” an audience of kids and adults last Tuesday with his talent. An infamous jewel thief was on the loose! Kids in attendance helped Dan Dan and his assistant, Super Sleuth, solve this caper.
The library would like to thank Midwest Energy and their Community Development Fund for the grant that provided our event with Dan Dan!
